FIMAV is Back, Stronger, More Vibrant, and More Accessible than Ever.
(newsletter 18 February, 2026)
The FIMAV team is proud to announce the concert programming for its 42nd edition, which will take place 14-17 May 2026. The return to a full festival format is both a celebration of artistic excellence and a commitment to making it broadly accessible. In addition to its superb circuit of sound installations in public spaces, which will be announced shortly, the Festival will feature more than 25 ticketed and free concerts in 2026.

Several new features for the 2026 edition
A major addition this year is the FIMAV Quartier général (Festival Hub), located in the Studio Monique-Bourgeois, Carré 150, a place where artists and festivalgoers can gather before and after ticketed concerts. This venue will also host several free and informal concerts. We will also present family-friendly free outdoor concerts in public spaces, as well as a series of free ‘Satellite Events’ to further enrich FIMAV programming.
Cinema Programming
FIMAV will be presenting two morning film screenings in the Salle Les-frères-Lemaire at Carré 150. For the 2026 edition, we are proud to highlight the monumental work of Quebec filmmaker Pierre Hébert.
A Festival in Sound Condition, Looking Toward the Future
With the ‘Passeport FIMAV’ 25% less expensive than in recent years, many free events, and a revamped program, FIMAV 42 reaffirms its role as an essential cultural destination, where Victoriaville becomes, for one week, a true global hub for today’s creative music.
