At the crossroads of sound art, visual installation, and experimental documentary, this work is based on a unique concept: attracted by light sources placed on prepared musical instruments, moths become the performers of a nocturnal concerto.
Biographical Note:
Luc Bonin, alias Urbain Desbois, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, author, composer, and performer. Since the 1980s, his musical career has been marked by an exploration of different genres including punk rock, reggae, jazz, and experimental music. Although Urbain Desbois is known for his songwriting—and for fifteen years he has been touring and releasing albums—composing has always been at the heart of his daily life. He has worked in this capacity for theatre, television, radio, and film. His exploratory work in music (in collaboration, as an improviser, or as an accompanist for poets) feeds this work.
