“Hiedelem” is the larger-than-life meeting between a highly skilled jazz-metal drummer and one of the most revered growlers on the black metal circuit.
The Hungarian-born ATTILA CSIHAR cofounded the band Tormentor and sings in Mayhem. Our audience probably knows him best for his participation to a handful of albums by the gods of drone metal Sunn 0))), he is absolutely amazing on Monoliths and Dimensions, and the string of improvised projects that derived from that collaboration. CSIHAR also performs solo as Void ov Voices. He has developed some very impressive new extended vocal techniques, which he submits to electronic treatments and looping to build troubling, captivating sound worlds.
BALÁZS PÁNDI also hails from Hungary. This drummer has done everything: from death metal to free jazz, drum ’n’ bass and ambient improvisation. His contribution to this duo is mainly rhythmical, as he grounds, drives and pulverizes CSIHAR’s assemblies, with an occasional passage of jazzy freedom thrown in for good measure. The result is striking, to say the least!
